Daniel Steven Bartek Tuesday, October 23rd, 1973 – Saturday, February 25th, 2023 Daniel Steven Bartek, age 49, of Houston, formerly of Temple, passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Alvin, Texas. He was born in Temple on the 23rd day of October 1973 to parents Gene and Stephanie (Daniel) Bartek. Daniel grew up in the Temple and Academy area; he attended and graduated school from Academy High School. In 1998 he made his way to the Houston area to work with family at their industrial pump repair business. He was a skilled carpenter and tradesman and could make anything. He learned how to be a machinist while working for the family business. Daniel loved sports; he played sports during his school years, and he raced dirt bikes when he was younger. While in Houston he attended the Christian Temple Church. Daniel will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his father Gene Bartek as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Roman Bartek of Alvin, mother Stephanie Daniel of Alvin, sister Traci Doolan of Pearland, brother James Bartek of Washington and sister Tami Martin of Temple. A graveside service will be held at Greathouse Cemetery in Temple on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2 o'clock p.m. with Rev. Ballard officiating. The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon between the hours of 4 and 6 o'clock p.m. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with the arrangements.
