Bio
son of Joe Porter T.J. Porter married Carrie Hawkins on 28 October 1907 in Bridgeport, Texas. She preceded him in death. T.J. Porter, an oil field worker who was wounded in the same family shooting in which his wife was killed in Megargel died shortly after noon. Services were held in the First Baptist Church in Electra. Mr. and Mrs. Porter had been separated for the third time when Mrs. Porter went to East Texas with a daughter. Mr. Porter remained in Archer County to pick up work in the oil fields. Mrs. Porter returned to Megargel to visit her son, Clifford Porter, and a daughter, Mrs. O.M. Smith
