Graveside services for Erma Parnell Kelly, 92, of Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Dale Perry officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler. Erma died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in Tyler at Reunion Plaza Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 26, 1915, in Winnsboro to the late Zachary T. and Lucy Bridges. Erma was a devoted Baptist and a resident of Tyler since 1936. She loved sports, especially watching the Dallas Mavericks play basketball. She was in the insurance business for many years, working for American National Insurance Company, Baker Lucas Real Estate and owned Erma Kelly Realty until she retired. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Dawson Parnell; son, Dean Parnell; grandson, Craig Lee Parnell; one brother; and four sisters. Survivors include son, Steve Parnell and wife Deborah of Tyler; daughter-in-law, Sue Parnell of Flint; grandchildren, Crystal Parnell of Spring, Teri Kay Hagedorn of Flint, and Robert Parnell of Flint; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Foye Wilson of Tyler. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, 75703.
