From Holt & Holt Funeral Home: Mary Kret, 90, of Kendalia passed away on February 1, 2023. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holt & Holt Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218. Mary was born on May 6, 1932 in San Antonio to Leonard and Nell Nelson. She was a surgical registered nurse who worked for an ophthalmology surgeon in San Antonio. She raised her family in San Antonio and relocated to Kendall County fifteen years ago. The highlight of her day was going to the Senior Center in Boerne. She loved playing cards, going to the dances and having lunch with all her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Woo Woo" Wampler; her son Roy A. Bendele, Jr.; her sons-in-law, James "Bear" Wampler and Alan Demeuse; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Patricia Demeuse; and her husband, Joseph F. "Jodie" Kret, Jr
