Beverly Ann (Davis) Duckett, 83, passed away at her home Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Beverly was born July 19, 1939, to Deckard Matthew (DM) Davis and Cleta Lajuna (McFalls) Davis in Waco Texas. Beverly's mom passed away when she was three months old, so Matthew remarried in August 1941, and Ruth (Derr) Davis raised her and Beverly's siblings, Vernon Davis, Billy Davis (passed) and they had three more children together. Danny Davis, Mary (Davis) Ray, and Dennis Davis all have passed. Beverly married Jack Harrington Duckett on December 13, 1957, at Oaklawn Baptist Church and they both have lived in Waco their entire lives, having gone to school in the LaVega schools. Jack and Beverly had two sons Steven Jack Duckett (passed 2000) and Kevin Scott Duckett (passed 2020). Beverly worked at JL Wards Co. for many years as well as Green Thumb in Waco before retiring in 2005. To pass her time, she hand-sewn baby quilts for her favorite charity Care Net of Waco, and many family and friends' children. Beverly loved Leslie's Fried Chicken and the rolls so many others grew up with. Her favorite memories were Durango, Colorado, and Cusco, Peru where she had the most eye-opening experiences. The family is honoring Beverly's wishes to be cremated and a small memorial will be scheduled at a later date at the Oakwood Cemetery to remember her touch in their lives. She leaves behind Jack Duckett; and their long-time friends Pat (Murphree) Jackson, Brenda Ker (passed), and Diane and Larry Stokes, Diane has been her hairdresser for many years; also, her only living sibling Vernon Davis. Beverly was the proud grandmother of Keaton Scott Duckett, Joshua Blayne Duckett, Kyle Shane Duckett, and Audrey Ann Duckett. Over the years, she was even more delighted as her 6 great-grandchildren started coming into her life. She cherished the two daughters (in-laws) that God provided for all those babies, Natalie (Duckett) James, and Sharon (Duckett) Conrad. Pecan Grove Funeral Home, Waco, Texas
