Blanche Vineyard GALVESTON - Blanche Vineyard, 86, of Galveston, died Sunday, December 12, 1999, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 15,1999, at Moody House Chapel, 2228 Seawall Blvd., Galveston, Texas with the Rev. Ray Pinard, officiating. Visitation will follow at Moody House from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Mrs. Vineyard was born February 20,1913, in Blum, Texas, to Curtis and Annie Taylor Maner. She moved to Galveston in 1956, and was an active member of Central Methodist Church for 15 years. She left the island in 1971 for retirement. She returned in 1983, to live with her daughter, Jane. They lived together until her death. She was a devoted mother to Jane and Mary and a second mother to many of their friends as well as "Memaw" to many of Rob's and Mary's friends. She will be sadly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert A Vineyard. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Johnson and husband, Dan; Jane Elton and husband, Buzz. Her grandchildren are Mike Johnson and wife, Krystin, David Johnson, Rob Finkbiner and Mary Finkbiner. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to her beloved nephew, Bill Maner and wife, Pat, and special friend Ernie Granato.
