Viola Barrington Roby - Viola Barrington, 90, of Roby, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at Golden Haven Nursing Home . Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church. Elder Elvis Barrington and S. J. Kirkpatrick, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan. Born June 14, 1889 in Youngsport, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson Cathey. She married William Jesse Barrington on Nov. 26, 1905 at Killeen. They moved to Fisher County in 1937 from Ralls. He died Dec. 27, 1975. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. L. (Velma) McKimmey of Roby and Mrs. Luther (Opal) Miller of Ralls; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Opal Barrington of Lubbock; four brothers, Albert Cathey of Roby, Leonard Cathey of Belton, Lloyd Cathey of Hamilton and Marvin Cathey of Killeen; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Freeman, on July 27, 1954. Pallbearers will be Raymond McKimmey, Tommy Jack Stuart, Leon Helms, Vernon Ray Allen, Ross Hilliard and James Cave.
