Husband of Myra Mae Martin Wise, and son of William E and Emma V Forehand Wise Wise, John Edward Jun 29, 1895 - Feb 27, 1968 Pensacola News, Wed., Feb. 28, 1968 John Edward Wise, 72, of 3131 W. Cervantes St., died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola and a member of the East Hill Baptist Church. He was Past Master of West Pensacola Masonic Lodge 296, past district Deputy Grand Master for the State of Florida and a Scottish Rite and York Rite mason. He was past Patron of the Eastern Star Chapter 252 and a member of the Bricklayers, Masons, Marble Masons; Tile Setters and Terrazzo Workers local union 8. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Myra Mae Martin Wise of Pensacola; two sons Robert E. Wise of Pensacola and Terrell E. Wise of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters Mrs. Edith Marie Besler of Brunswick, Ga., and Mrs Zadie Wise Maxwell of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Caro and Mrs. John Edward Bonifay, both of Prenscola; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Fisher-Pou Funeral services. #2 Pensacola Journal, Thurs., Feb. 29, 1968 John Edward Wise, 72, of 3131 W. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Rev. Robert Vaughn officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Eastern Star, Chapter 252. Active pallbearers will be F. C. Briggs, George Smith Jr., Elwood Gonzalez, W. J. Caro, Sam Rosenau, Watson Leech, and T. S. Tidwell. Burial will be in the Beulah Cemetery with masonic services at the grave.
