Dorothy Daum Steele of Marrero, LA went to be with her precious Lord on September 11, 2012 at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Clifford Steele, mother of Kathryn Steele, Slidell, LA Michael Clifford Steele (wife Christine) Marrero, LA Paula Steele Evans (husband David), Slidell, LA and Kelly Ben Steele (wife Mona) Harvey, LA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Tracey Daum and Charley Kate Stewart and sister of Jane Blackburn of Tallahassee, Fla. Peggy Pohorence of Blairsville, GA, Jerry Daum of Water Valley, MS and the late Andrew Daum and Loretta Salyer. Grandmother of Myles, Kelly Jr., Stephanie, Daphne, Kimberly, Michael and great grand children: Allie, Ben, Hunter, Mia, Tori and Luke. She so cherished the comfort, care and companionship from her grand daughter Kimberly Bernard Tallman in the months before her death.
