Bio

Albert (A.J.) Tschoerner Jr., 94 of Jarrell, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. He was born on July 19, 1928 to Albert and Frieda (Schwertner) Tschoerner in Corn Hill, TX. Albert served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. He married Dorothy Stojanik on November 16, 1954 in Corn Hill, TX and they were blessed with 67 years together. Albert worked as a farmer all his life as well as working in security at Westinghouse for 26 years. He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Corn Hill and served on the church council and bazaar committee for many years. He enjoyed raising cattle, farming, and playing dominoes and horseshoes. He attended many sporting events and could be seen playing ball in the front yard with his children and grandchildren most evenings. He loved listening to polka music and baseball games on the radio. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth, brothers William (Bill), Fred and infant Paul. Albert is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Donald (Brenda) Tschoerner, and daughters Sharon (Kevin) Lloyd and Joyce (Ron) Nemec; as well as his six grandchildren Russell (Samantha Amidon) Tschoerner, Craig (Megan) Tschoerner, Kyle (Jana) Lloyd, Corey (Alisha) Lloyd, Jacob and Riley Nemec and great-grandchildren Cody and Sadie Tschoerner, Caden Tschoerner, Kaleb Amidon, Hannah and Harper Lloyd and coming in August baby boy, Cole Lloyd. Albert is also survived by his brother Franklin Tschoerner of Temple, TX, one niece and one nephew. Serving as pallbearers are his six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church cemetery fund.
