Jane's father was John McKinney. B. Dec. 31 1781, North Carolina, D. Nov. 26, 1847 Collin County, Texas. The 1870 U. S. Census, states that Jane Myers (an invalid) was head of her household of four in Ward Twp, Yell Co., Arkansas next to her daughter Sarah Tilman and her husband Joseph Tilman. The post office is listed as Petit Jean. Household listed: Jane Myers, Born 1810 in Virginia. She could read and write. Martha J. Myers, Born in 1851, Ark. Brien Myers, Born in 1849 Ark. Mary Lokey, Born in 1855 Ark.
