Bio
Charles Fred Tomasek was born in Buckholts, Texas, on April 26, 1931, to Fred Tomasek and Wilma Anna Motl. He was raised in Houston, Texas, in the Heights, where he met his love Helen Julia Lawrence, and they married on September 20, 1952. Charles served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Everglades during the Korean War and loved to tell stories of how he "saw the whole world, and ain't no place better than Texas." After the war, Charles became a builder – and boy, could he build or fix anything. From luxury homes to furniture for his daughters to his dustpan invention that he created in the months before his passing, Charles had an inventive spirit and a true gift for his craft. After Helen got her real estate & broker's license, the couple teamed up to create their Real Estate & Custom Luxury Home Company. They went on to build and sell beautiful homes in the Houston area before moving to Woodlands, Texas, to retire. Charles is survived by a legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who live all over the world. His daughters are Vickie Folsom, Gigi Sage, and Sherri Tomasek, and his grandchildren are Misty Stone, Feather Stovall, Tiffany Spitzer, Brianna Miller, Makena Durante, Mariah Hubbell, McLaren Sage, Hannah Bell & Emmah Bell and his great-grandchildren Stephen, Hunter, Tanner, Cody, Mia, Max and Wilder. Charles lived life to the fullest. He loved dancing with his wife, Helen, boating and skiing with his family, and fishing with his friends. In his later years, he could often be found playing rummy with his family (beating everyone soundly), telling stories, and laughing with his loved ones. Charles was a loving husband to his wife Helen throughout their 65 years of marriage, and now they are reunited to dance together in Heaven. Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home
