Loretta Louise (Lantis) Lord Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home YAKIMA - Loretta Louise (Lantis) Lord, 85, of Yakima, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Garden Village. She was born August 31, 1922 in Franklin, Nebraska to Francis and Minnie (Haas) Barnes. She married Lauren Lantis on June 1, 1939. Loretta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Tieton Presbyterian Church and the Rebekah Lodge for nearly 50 years. She also was a Scout Den Mother. After Lauren's death, she married Clonie Lord. She especially enjoyed her family, crocheting, cooking, making cookies, gardening, yard work and tending her rose garden. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by a daughter, Delores (James) Parsley of Tieton and a son, David (Deanna) Lantis of Yakima; five grandchildren, Bradley, Jason, Teresa, Janet and Tammy; twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters, Dora Herman of Cowiche, LaVerne (Barbara) Barnes of Tieton, Robert E. (Gladys) Barnes of Denver, CO and Mary Lou (Richard) Schut of Yakima; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Lauren Lantis and Clonie Lord, one sister, Doris Trainer and a great-great-grandson, Adam Fix. Viewing will be Sunday, noon until 5:00 p.m. and Monday, noon until 8:00 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
