Bio
Mary Ann Hotovy, 97, of David City, died Sunday, January 15, 2023 at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Mary Ann donated her body to the Creighton Anatomical Donation Program. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Mary Ann was born on June 17, 1925 at Dwight, Nebraska. She worked as a secretary for Mayo Clinic and then later at the FSA office until taking retirement so she could enjoy her true passion of traveling. Mary Ann traveled the world seeing many sights, her favorite being Rome and Ecuador. She also enjoyed a 93 day cruise on the Queen Mary cruise ship around the world that had many different ports of call. She also looked forward to her occasional trips to the local casinos, listening to radio programs and was a generous donor to local community and overseas causes and organizations. Mary Ann and her mother baked many wedding cakes for couples in the area. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and PCCW. Mary Ann is survived by several cousins.
