Bio

Francis M. Williams, the son of John R. Williams and Sarah Ann Russell, served in the Civil War, initially with the 36th Missouri Infantry and later with Company K of the 8th Missouri Cavalry. According to his military records, he was 5 feet 11 inches tall, with hazel eyes, light hair, and worked as a farmer. He tragically passed away from illness while in service on May 9 or 10, 1863.
