Rosa Lee Uptmor Blahuta, 93, of Waco, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at West Rest Haven in West. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Freedman officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Rosa Lee was born in Tours, Texas, to William and Rosie Pareya Uptmor. She married George Blahuta on August 28, 1937, in Tours. She had been a resident of Waco for the past 61 years and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years. Survivors include sons, Ray Blahuta and wife, Barbara, of California, and William Blahuta and wife, Donna, of Robinson; grandchildren, Corey Blahuta and wife, Misty, of Austin, and Roberta Peters and husband, Darin, of California; sister, Christine Shambeau, of California; brother, Ray Uptmor, of California; great-grandchildren, Emme and O'Brien Blahuta, of Austin, and Robert Lee Peters, of California; and several nieces and nephews.
