Henrietta Jane Heimann, 94, passed away January 1, 2023 at 7:36 am. She was born November 30, 1928 in Moulton, Texas to Thomas and Marian Valenta. In 1948, Henrietta married Laddie James Heimann. They were married for 52 years until his passing in 2000. The couple raised three children in Wallis, Texas. Henrietta was an excellent homemaker. One of her favorite hobbies was sewing; she was happy to take on projects for anyone in need. She was a cook at Wallis School cafeteria for many years and took great pleasure in seeing that the children she loved and adored were well fed. In her later years, she made many rosaries for her church to be sent to the needy. Henrietta is survived by her children, Anthony Eugene Heimann and his wife, Sharon, of New Ulm, Texas, James Ray Heimann and his wife, Lisa, of Wallis, Texas, and Mary Ann Zapp and her husband, Rick, of Bacliff, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren, Piseth Var, Pisal Var, Pisey Var, Michelle Zapp Sluis and her husband, Wes, Michael Alan Zapp and his wife, Lien; and great-grandchildren, Amber Jadyn Sluis and Austin Zapp Sluis; and sisters-in-law, Emily Tichavsky and Betty Valenta. Henrietta is preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Valenta. Arrangements are being made by Knesek & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home Monday, January 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM, with a rosary to follow at 6:30 PM. A memorial service to celebrate Henrietta's life will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Zapp, Michael Zapp, Wes Sluis, Pisal Var, Gary Valenta, and Donnie Schaefer.
