Cletus Sims, of Desoto, Texas, passed away on Thursday, 03 November 2022, at his home in DeSoto, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. Cletus is one of nine children and was born in Mt Vernon, Texas, on August 15, 1927, to Malachi MC and Effie Harris Sims. Cletus was a retired Small Business Owner. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malachi MC Sims, Effie Harris Sims, wife Norma Jean Ivey, step-son Rodney Sacapano, brothers Calvin Sims, Iris Sims, A.J. Sims, S.M. Sims, J.P. Sims, and sisters Irene Thompson, Bula Mae Lacy, Bonnie Faye Talent. Cletus leaves behind a wife, Nestoria Umambong Sacapano (Sims) of DeSoto, Texas, sons Allen Dale Sims (his wife Cathy) of Paris, Texas, Ronnie Joe Sims (his wife Mila) of Mabank, Texas, step-daughter Nerissa Hollingsworth (her husband James) of Duncanville, Texas, grandchildren Steve, Christina, Scotty, Stacy, Melanie, RJ, Ries, and Li along with lots of cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
