Bio

Nettie Jane Snowden, 89, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at her residence. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at South Hills Baptist Church, 7350 Old Granbury Rd., Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Nettie was a lifetime member for over 50 years of the Loyalty Rebekah Lodge #166 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and she held the following honors: decoration of chivalry, past noble grand, district deputy president, and member of L.A.P.M. She was also a member of the South Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie Jane and William N. Grant; sister, Eva K. Feruson; brother, W. Howard Grant and wife, Sybil; and husband, Ernest Ray Sellers. Survivors: Husband, J.D. Snowden; son, Howard "Ernie" Sellers and wife, Sherilyn; daughter, Janet Rhea Sellers; grandchildren, Tracy Kaempf and husband, J.D., Brian Sellers and wife, Katherine, and Richard Sellers and wife, Claudia; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Ferguson and husband, Charles, and Sally Ward and husband, Charles; brother, the Rev. W. Wendell Grant and wife, Marjorie; and stepchildren of J.D. Snowden. Published in the Star-Telegram on 2/22/2007.
