Bio

The Hinton Daily News and Leader, Hinton, West Virginia Friday, August 1, 1919, page 1 While hunting near his home last Friday afternoon, July 25, Perchie Parker, aged 16, son of Mr and Mrs Beirne Parker of Sarton, this county, accidentally shot himself. He had gotten up on a log and set his shotgun down, his hands about the muzzle, when in some way the gun was discharged. The little finger of his right hand was shot off, the ball of his left thumb lacerated, a hole about 4 inches wide torn in his stomach to the coverings of his bowels, and several shot struck him about the left eye and forehead while others entered his left arm. Perchie was badly injured but at last accounts was getting on well. Dr Roles does not think any of the shot entered the bowels. - Watchman The Hinton Daily News and Leader, Hinton, West Virginia Saturday, August 16, 1919, page 1 From Monroe County Union, Aug 18. - Percie Parker, aged about 16 years, died at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Beirne Parker, near Sarton, this county, on Tuesday night, Aug 5, of tetanus or lockjaw resulting from the wounds he received when his shotgun was accidentally discharged on July 25 while he was hunting.
