Bio
Opal Meissner Tidwell, 81, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Granbury Cemetery in Granbury. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Opal worked many years in Fort Worth at Kleinschmidt's Bakery. She spent her later years working for Coburn's Catering, where she met many of her lifelong friends whom she considered family and will be dearly missed. Opal lived her life her own unique way, "...her way and her way only!" She loved country dancing and collecting snapshots and letters, but most important to her was spending time with her family, with maybe even a bit of gossiping now and then with her friends. Survivors: Granddaughters, Dana Robinson of Fort Worth and Laurey Kiser and husband, Kris of Aledo: grandson, Jason Robinson and wife, Jennifer of Fort Worth; great-grandson, Dylan Kiser of Aledo; son-in-law, Robert Ballew of Fort Worth; and many other cherished relatives throughout Texas.
