Benke of Columbus and Joseph I. Topil of Rising City, victims of a Tuesday morning traffic accident a mile north of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Final rites for Mr. Topil, 68, will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Shelby. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bellwood. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Thursday at Holesovsky Mortuary, Brainard. Mr. Topil, who was born Feb. 22, 1901, in Butler county, farmed and worked for a David City moving company. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Makovicka of Bellwood; four sons, Richard, Tom, Joseph Jr., and Steve, all of the Rising City area; five grandchildren; and four brothers, Anton, Leo and Fred of Rising City, and Alois of Denver, Colo. His wife, the former Ludmilla Zavodny, died in 1962.
