Wid (Rissler) Dockhorn, 91, 12/4/2022. Joining her adoring Swede after 72 years together and 20 months apart, they had two wonderful children, Rick and Denise, who provided multiple additions to the family. Her sister, Lana Baillie of Broken Bow, has stories to tell that are best left with Lana. Known for her non-stop efforts and successes in teaching and learning; her overwhelming generosity and kindness to everyone; her distinct laugh, smile, and humor; her goal to make every moment unforgettable; she loved and lived life. While her family is her lifelong treasure and always on top of her list, her priority is God and sought Jesus every moment for guidance. She frequently referred to her journey as being on the highway to heaven with as few wrong turns as possible. In her words: "When I Die" means my soul has learned its lessons in this lifetime and I'm ready to transcend toward another lifetime. The deeds I've done, the lessons I've learned, and the goals accomplished are the manifestation of the being I incarnated to learn. I am not dead nor shall I ever die. My family knows that as well as the fact that we will be together again in another lifetime. I wish people to remember me as I am—alive, loud, happy, and I could get carried away with telling you how wonderful I am. The people who cared about me are an active part of my life. We laughed together, cried together, learned together, and cared together. We respected each other's individuality, and it was all used for growth. Oh yes, some will miss me but that is part of life, loving, and transcending. They'll remember and laugh. Any last activities must be full of peace, harmony, love, and joy.
