Bio

Carmen James Walden, 84, of Martinsville, IN, passed away on December 4, 2022. He was born in Columbus, IN to the late Garnett and Nancy Walden. Carmen worked in the grocery industry for many years, which included Standard Grocery, O'Malias, and most recently, management for Payless Liquor. Carmen loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outside and tending to his horses. He spent many hours gardening during the warm weather months. Carmen was very social and loved being with people. He never met a stranger. Carmen is survived by his wife, Susie (Anderson) Walden; three children; three stepchildren; Jerri Lynn; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three siblings. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Culvahouse; stepson, Timothy Pavey; and sister, Katheryn Harris. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Monroe County Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Tompkinsville, KY.
