Funeral services for Edith May Adams Hoover, age 79 of Lindale, Texas, is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Carmel Baptist Church in Lindale with Sister Marie Ponds officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Cemetery in Lindale. Edith passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 in Tyler, Texas. She was born July 3, 1941 in Bremerton, Washington to the late John and Leona (Woods) Adams. Edith has lived in Lindale for nearly 30 years where she was a longtime member of Carmel Baptist Church and was recently attending Holy Ghost Central Church in Alba, TX. She enjoyed her birds, working jigsaw puzzles, going to church, reading her bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. Edith was a homemaker and watched children at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Hoover; son, John Lee Hoover; and daughter, Cheri Lynn Bishop. Edith is survived by a daughter, Sonya Gail Bolden and her husband, Buford of Tyler, Texas; brothers, Jay Adams of Washington and Ezra Adams of California; sister, Sandra Charveanal and her husband, Steve of Port Orchard, Washington; grandchildren, Joseph Bolden, Amanda Hoover, Joshua Bolden, Lisa Duvall, Travis Hoover, and Eric Hoover; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
