Delwin L. Metcalf Delwin Laurence Metcalf, age 64, died Monday June 27, 1988, in a Salt Lake City hospital of heart arrest. Born October 31, 1923, in Magna, Utah, a son of George William and Winifred Wallace Metcalf. He married Norma Ella Butts, November 8, 1945, Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired foreman, Kennecott Copper refinery. Lifelong service in the LDS Church; served in the Millcreek 1st Ward bishopric, and currently a member of the Millcreek 3rd Ward. Active in Scouting and a Little League coach. Survived by wife, Salt Lake City; four daughters and six sons, Mrs. Bayne B. (Delene) McMillan, Sandy, Utah; Mrs. Melvin D. (Caryl) Blanchard, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Virgil C. (Lana) Beck, St. George, Utah; Douglas Delwin (wife, Janet), West Jordan, Utah; Marc (wife, Laureen), Salt Lake City; Mrs. Larry K. (Marcia) Samuelsen, Salt Lake City; Paul David (wife, Paula Lynne), West Jordan, Utah; Brad Dean (wife, Janet), Salt Lake City; Richard Jon (wife, Cindy), Kearns, Utah; Robert Eldin (wife, Lori), Salt Lake City; 38 grandchildren; brother, George Edward (wife, Blanche), Magna, Utah; sister, Mrs. Jim (Joanna) Sanborn, Kearns, Utah; Funeral services Thursday, June 29, 12 noon, Millcreek 3rd Ward, 606 East 3900 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 360 East South Temple, Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward, Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
