Alexander Bradford Hunt was born about 1845 in Mississippi to Albert G and Louisa (Rogers) Hunt. They moved to Texas before 1860. Bradford married Lucy Hood on 31 May 1866 in Washington County, Texas. They had a son, Albert Wallace Hunt, on 2 Apr 1867. Bradford died in 1867 from a yellow fever epidemic carried by a guest at Hood's Hotel. (In September 1867, a yellow fever epidemic hit the Texas coast and quickly traveled inland.) It is unknown exactly where he was buried, but most likely in Independence, Texas, because yellow fever victims were buried immediately for fear that contaminated bodies spread the sickness. 1850 U S Federal Census record: Name: Alexander B B Hunt Gender: Male Race: White Age: 5 Birth Year: abt 1845 Birthplace: Mississippi Home in 1850: Northern Division, Marshall, Mississippi, USA Inferred Father: Albert G Hunt Inferred Mother: Louisa L Hunt Household Members (Name) Age Albert G Hunt 39 Louisa L Hunt 34 Richard B Hunt 10 Alexander B B Hunt 5 Ann Eliza Hunt 3 Isabella Hunt 8 months 1860 U S Federal Census record: Name Bradford Hunt Age 14 Birth Year 1846 Gender Male Race White Birth Place Mississippi Home in 1860 Washington, Texas Post Office Brenham Household members Name Age Albert Hunt 49 Louisa Hunt 46 Bradford Hunt 14 Anna Hunt 12 Thomas Hunt 5 Texas Marriage record: Name A.
