Source: Daily Ardmoreite • FOX -- Services for Mattie "Judy" Hurta, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Hawkins and Bro. Brandon McCombs officiating. Interment will be at Graham Cemetery. Hurta was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Devol to Robert and Belie Hewell Germany and died May 12, 2001. She married Leonard P. Hurta on Aug. 15, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to Fox from Burkburnett, Texas, in 1946. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary, as well as Fox Baptist Church. She also served in the church nursery for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 25, 1987, and five brothers. She is survived by one son, Lynn Paul Hurta, Pauls Valley; one daughter, Judy Kay Fore and her husband, Larry G., Fox; two grandchildren, Lori Wright and her husband, Dennis, Velma, and Cody Fore, Fox, and a great-granddaughter, Kelcey Wright, Velma. Services are under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home, Healdton.
