Bio

Riley Bennett George was born in Robertson County, Texas. He married Alice V. Runnels in the early 1900s. The 1910 and 1920 census listed him as a public school teacher. His 1918 draft registration lists him as a boiler maker helper. Alice died in 1927 and he married Clara Cornelia Shipman. In 1930 he was a farm manager in San Leon, Galveston County, Texas. He died near Crosby, Texas in 1942. His funeral services were conducted by Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 401 West Pearce, Goose Creek, Texas.
