BROKEN BOW - John William Reier, 64, of Broken Bow died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home. He was born 17 Jan 1944, in Kearney, Nebraska to Charles and Maurine (Dickerson) Reier. On 30 Dec 1971, he married Peggy Werblow. He was a Vietnam veteran and later worked for Becton Dickinson. He retired in 2002. He was an active member of the Evangelical Free Church of Broken Bow, where he served in various positions. He also was involved with Broken Bow Schools as a teacher and volunteer. He loved the Lord, his family and many friends. Survivors include his wife; son, Alex of Denver; his mother of Kearney; brothers, Dick (Farrell) of Cozad, Bob (Dottie) of Lincoln and Jerry (Vicky) of Denver; and sisters, Nancy (Bill) Bowie of Delavan, Wis., and Joyce (Denny) Anderson of Tucson, Ariz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Kay. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical Free Church in Broken Bow with the Revs. Scott Harvey and Bruce Boehmer officiating. Private family burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Arrangements by Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
