Bio
Viola L. Brune, 85, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Grand Chenier and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. She was a resident of Walker for six years. Survivors include her son, LeRoy C. Brune Jr. and wife Debra, of Walker; four grandchildren, Rhonda Walker, Myra Taylor, Vicki Brune and Michael Brune; four great-grandchildren, Kristin, Elyssa, Thomas Walker IV and Jonathan Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy C. Brune Sr.; and six brothers, Elton, Telsmar, Ual, Peter, Claude and Ervin Bonsall. Her service will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sweetlake on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Vincent Vadakedath will officiate. Visitation at Hixson Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 26, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Saturday at 8 a.m. until the service.
