Orlene Delilah Zabriskie Chesnut Torgersen Whitlock, 89, of Richfield, passed away February 6, 2008, at the Richfield Care Center. She was born March 17, 1918 to Oral and Delilah Gulbransen Zabriskie in Monroe, Utah. She married George Hugh Chesnut, September, 24, 1936, in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death December 1997. She married Lynn Torgersen of Sigurd. He preceded her in death. She then married DeLoy Whitlock, December 16, 2005, in Richfield. Orlene was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She and Hugh served a mission in Scotland from 1983-85. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was an avid quilt maker and loved her flowers. Orlene worked several jobs including private maid work, Montgomery Wards and finished off her career with over 20 years at Sevier Valley Hospital as a cook. Orlene is survived by husband, DeLoy, Richfield; children: Ronald Hugh (Maurine) Chesnut, West Jordan; Sherrill Z. Chesnut, Gunnison; Aletta O. (Terry D.) Sorensen, Clifton, CO; Madeleine (James) Morris, Clifton, CO; 26 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Helen Zabriskie, and Lorna Evans, St. George, Hilma (Joe) Stevens, Redding, CA; LaDawn Zabriskie, Torrey; brothers-in-law, Hal K. Larsen, St. George and Chad Chesnut, West Jordan. Preceded in death by: parents, husbands, Hugh and Lynn; son, Kip L. Chesnut; grandson, Barry Chesnut; brothers: Mayo and Lloyd Zabriskie; sister Merdith. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 9, 2008, in the Richfield 6th Ward (200 East Center) at 11: a.m. Friends may call at Magleby Mortuary Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again at the Mortuary Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
