Bio
Angelina (Chucie) Dillard, 79, of Temple, formally of Austin, passed away on Dec. 13, 2009. She was born to Joe K. and Agnes (Kubacek) Cervenka on Sept. 26, 1930 in Taylor. On the 23rd of June in 1961, she married Henry Dillard in Austin. Angelina is survived by her husband of 48 years, Henry Dillard; a son, Tony Kaderka of Granger; a brother, Willie L. Cervenka and wife Lillie of Granger; sister-in-laws, Agnes Cervenka of Caldwell and Agnes Cervenka of Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. Angelina was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnnie, Joe and Emil Cervenka; and sisters, Lillie Matula and Mary Conlee. She attended Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Elementary, Granger High School and Seton Nursing School where she worked as a Nurse's Assistant for over 19 years. She enjoyed her dogs and squirrels, giving each one a unique name. She also loved to work in the yard and grow vegetables in her garden. Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar, Austin, TX, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, in Granger. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the charity of your choice.
