OBITUARY: Jesse Alexander Hyatt, age 92, of Andrews, TX., passed away, August 22, 2022, in Andrews, TX. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at The Means Memorial Methodist Church in Andrews, Texas, with Rev. Kevin Bushart officiating. Burial of the cremains will take place Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Andrews North Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of McNett Funeral Home. Jesse was born May 12, 1930, in Littlefield, Texas to Boon A. Hyatt and Nettie Dee Murchison Hyatt. He married, Nancy Ruth Hale March 15, 1957, in Ralls, TX., and they spent 63 amazing years together until her passing in 2020. Jesse was a proud veteran of the US Army and served his country in the Korean War, where he earned a Korean Service Medal with a Bronze Star, and a United Nations Service Medal. He was a hardworking man, spending much of his working life managing oil field companies. Jesse was also involved in, and proud of, Andrews County, serving on many boards. Jesse enjoyed playing golf, going to horse races, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was a great man and will be dearly missed. Jesse is survived by his sons: Jimbo McMennamy and wife Margy of Lubbock, Texas; and Kenneth Hyatt and wife Cynthia of Menard, Texas; sister: Ella Fisher and husband Stan of Los Gatos, California; grandchildren: Nicole Hyatt; Mark Eaton; Melissa Eaton; Jeffrey McMennamy; and Robi Gail White; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife: Nancy Ruth Hyatt; parents: Boon A. and Nettie Dee Hyatt; sister: Ethel Hammon; and brother: B.A. Hyatt.
