Robert "Bob" Ellis Dial, 90, of Greenville, passed away on September 5, 2022 at the Methodist Richardson Hospital Center. Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Private Funeral services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Bob was born October 6, 1931, in Merit, Texas to Luther Ellis and Bertha Loraine Batterton Dial. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Greenville High School, after graduation he enlisted in the Military at the age of 17. He served in the United States Navy, where he retired from. After retirement he worked as a foreman for Jack Finney and was a State Trooper for a short period. On April 13, 1951, he married Doris M. Lewis in Greenville, Texas. Bob is survived by his sons, Roger Dial and wife, Brenda Lee of Wylie, Robert Dial of Germany; grandchildren, Robert Dial, Christopher Dial, April Stovall; great-grandchildren, Dalton Stovall, Hunter Stovall, Raylan Dial, Kenley Dial, Autumn Dial, Calvin Dial and Cory Houghton. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife and son.
