A Celebration of the Life of Billy Holloway, 67 of Athens will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Sand Springs Church of Athens with Brother Erick Graham officiating. Mr. Holloway passed away on June 27, 2022, in Athens surrounded by his loving family. William Russell Holloway was born November 21, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana the son of Bill Shuttles Holloway and Inez Louise (Russell) Holloway. He was known as a hard worker who spent over 30 years as a certified welder and machinist in the bridge bearing industry. Billy was an avid outdoorsman that spent countless hours fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Also known as Old Man and Papa, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Holloway of Athens; two children, Sharon Codie Bell and husband Stephen of Athens, Austin Russell Holloway and wife Kimberly of Athens and two grandsons, Quintin Russell Holloway and Kaden Russell Holloway.
