------------------------- DeWitt McGriff Sr. was born in Mississippi on February 6, 1899, a son of William F. McGriff. His occupation was box maker. He was a veteran of World War I. His home at the time of his death was Route #2, Newport, Arkansas. He was married, but his spouse is not listed. Mr. McGriff died at age 65 on September 10, 1964, at University Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was buried in Grace Lawn Cemetery at Tuckerman, Arkansas on September 12, 1964.
