─═════════ ✿ڰۣڿ✿ Obituary ✿ڰۣڿ✿ ═════════─ Billie Ruth Collier, age 92, passed away on July 2, 2022, in her Thornton, Colorado home surrounded by loved ones. Billie was born on January 17, 1930, in Rotan, Texas, to Bill and Minnie Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her dear sister Glendeen Hicks, and her loving husband, Bill Collier. Billie is survived by her children, Lesa Harris of Thornton, Colorado; Jerry Collier of Pipe Creek, Texas; and Jim Collier of Bridge City, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billie Ruth lived a fulfilling life as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved life and made the most of each day. Although always devoted to her family, she found many ways to serve her community. Following the death of her husband, she settled in Jasper, Texas, where she quickly became involved in the community through her church and the local garden club. At one point an article and photos of her home appeared in the Jasper Newsboy, the local paper, stating she had the most beautiful container garden in all of Jasper. Mom loved family, being outside, hummingbirds, and plants. We can honor her memory by spending time with loved ones, walking outdoors, hanging a hummingbird or other bird feeder, or planting something beautiful to continue her legacy of making our world a happier, more loving, and more beautiful place.
