Bio
Joyce Kay Ross, 84, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at her home. She was born on September 20, 1937, in Manchester, the daughter of Emil and Fannie (Whitman) Wendling. Joyce was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Manchester High School. After high school, Joyce worked at F&M Bank. On April 12, 1967, Joyce was united in marriage to Victor "Sparky" Ross. One son, was born to this union. Joyce and Sparky owned and operated the Manchester Dairy Queen. Joyce enjoyed gardening, wild life, and her many pets. She was a professional barrel racer and bowler, touring the country for many years. Joyce loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sparky Ross in 2011; step daughter, Paula Pasker; and a brother, Richard Wendling.
