They were married until she went to be with the Lord in 2021, nearly 60 years. To this union came four children, Judy Ahrens and husband Keith, Joseph Wearden (deceased) Mary Beirne and husband Martin, and Glen Wearden Jr. One grandchild, Martin (Douglas) Bierne IV. Glen graduated from St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in music. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and had two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He loved music, and played the trombone in college, military marching bands and the Brazos Symphony. Glen loved to build and fly radio control model airplanes. He was a loving, gentle man with a quiet manner, a wonderful father and loving husband. He loved talking with people and saw the best in others. He had a special way of helping the people in his life understand that they are loved unconditionally. His family is grateful for his love and sharing his strong faith in God.
