Bio
Charles Corry, formerly of Yantis, Texas (Lake Fork) passed away in Waco, Texas at the age of 80. He was born on June 19, 1941 to Alton B. and Evelyn (Pope) Corry in McKinney, Texas. Charles graduated from McKinney High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Shirley Mitchell on October 12, 1989 in Princeton, Texas. Charles was a member of White Oak Baptist Church in Yantis, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mitchell Corry of Waco, Texas; daughter, Courtney Corry Danna and husband, Frank of Annapolis, Maryland and grandchildren, Derek and Francesca; sister, Betty Corry Crump; stepsons, Ron Mitchell and wife, JoAnn of Waxahachie, Texas; Jerry Mitchell and wife, Diane of Dallas, Texas; and Mark Mitchell and wife, Robin of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Drew, Katie, Amy, Kyle, Cory, Colton, and Lisa. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Edna Corry Woods. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday August 7, 2021 at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Texas. The family will receive guests one hour prior at the graveside.
