Nancy Lou Gill June 28, 1930 - August 20, 2022 Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Lou Gill will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverends Bob Houchins and Elton Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #1 Cemetery, Pitkin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Gill, 92, of Kinder, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Kinder Retirement and Rehab Center, Kinder, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Nettie Doyle; her husbands, Maurice Calcote and H.S. Gill; one daughter, Sherrice Calcote; two brothers, Johnny Doyle and Jim Doyle; four sisters, Martha O'Bannon, Mary Doyle, Barbara Bailey and Pauline Wilbanks; and three great grandsons. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, William Calcote of Kinder and George Gill of Kinder; five daughters, Linda Guillory, and husband Lee, of Kinder, Shirley Fontenot of Crowley, Janice Guillory, and husband Luke, of Kinder, Brenda Houchins, and husband Bob, of Sikeston, Missouri, and Patricia Johnson, and husband Howard, of Pitkin; thirty grandchildren; seventy-four great grandchildren; and eighteen great-great grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
