Bio

Eugene Worlton Austin, 79, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 in Layton, Utah. Born October 1, 1928 in Lehi, UT, son of Herbert and Marie Worlton Austin. Dad moved to Bacchus, Utah at age 12, graduating from Cyprus High in 1946. Attended two years at U of U. Served two years in the Army. Dad married the girl next door, Marian Sizemore on March 20, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. He retired from Hercules-ATK in November 1986 after 43 years. Dad enjoyed his yard, drowning a worm, camping with family and the 13 years he and mom went to Apache, AZ and St. George as "Snowbirds". Dad is survived by his wife, Marian; children: Diana (Greg) Mauchley, Mark (Lori), Cheryl (Duwaine) Mann, Carolyn (Duane) Adams, Jeff, Linda (David) Eldredge, Stephanie (Randy) Danjanovich; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Gladys); sisters: Beth West and Carollee (John) Tew. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Dana; grandson, Jared Mauchley. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 1, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter 35th Ward, 3745 South 6400 West, West Valley City, UT. A Viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the Church, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to Services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
