She died a peaceful death at her home on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015. Donnette was born June 11, 1929, in Clarkson to Joseph and Matilda (Jedlicka) Urban. She attended and graduated Clarkson High School and received a teaching degree from Wayne State College. On June 29, 1949, she and Alvin Reichmuth were united in marriage. Together, they farmed near Leigh then moved near Humphrey, where they later retired. Donnette taught at a country school for several years before focusing on raising her children and, as they grew, she went to work at Farmers Co-op in Humphrey, a job she truly enjoyed for many years. Donnette was a member of St. Francis Parish and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed baking and taught baking classes and was a 4-H leader for many years. In high school, she was a majorette in the Clarkson Band and later taught the trade to young ladies. She and Alvin enjoyed square dancing and were lifetime ticket holders of Nebraska football. She deeply enjoyed the family hobby of raising horses. Her true joy came from following her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their activities. She paid attention to every detail of their success and proudly kept them near her heart. Surviving are her husband, Alvin; children Bruce (Pat) Reichmuth of Garden City, Kan., Jane (Elmer) Wemhoff of Lincoln, Wanda (Allen) Wulf of Clarkson, Cheryl (Ervin) Wemhoff of Lincoln, Joyce (David) Johnson of Creston, Iowa, Bryan (Lori) Reichmuth of Humphrey and Brad of Omaha; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lauretta Neuhaus of Polk. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Arlene.
