Bio

A rosary for Raymond Julius Svetlik, 84, of Blessing was said Friday, July 30, 1999 in the chapel of Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, July 31 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. Peter Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Blessing. Mr. Svetlik died Wednesday, July 28 in Palacios. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was born July 25, 1905 in Lavaca County to August and Matilda Otto Svetlik. Mr. Svetlik is survived by one brother, Frank Svetlik of Bay City and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Svetlik in 1980; sister, Mary Zemanek; and brother Ladik Svetlik. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Daily Tribune , August 1, 1999
