Graveside services for Thomas "Tommy" Eakin, 95, of Tyler were held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Holcomb and Casey Eakin officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Eakin passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, in Tyler. He was born October 5, 1926, in Timpson, Texas to Edgar "Papa" Eakin and Leona Courtney "Mama" Eakin. Tommy was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a bachelor's degree. He was a retired entrepreneur, loving husband, and loving father. Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Courtney; father, Edgar Eakin; and all his siblings, Ora Belle Eakin, Adelle Eakin, Estelle Huff, Agnes Ballard, Joseph Eakin, John Eakin, and Doyce Eakin. He is survived by his loving family including wife, Mary Frances Eakin; daughters, Kerry Wiley and Connie Greenberg; and sons, Kelvin Eakin and Casey Eakin.
