Larry Lee Grubaugh was born in 1940 in Rising City, NE to William Henry Grubaugh and Luella E. Shunk. He was the youngest of their children, both sons. During his life, Larry was married twice - first to Judith Ann Jackson in 1961 whom he divorced in 1982. He married Margaret Mary Ryan in 1991 and they divorced 14 years later. He had two children, both from his first wife, Terry Lynn "Lindy" Grubaugh and Bradley Scott Grubaugh. He was not married at the time of his death. Here is the obituary for Larry Lee Grubaugh Larry Lee Grubaugh, 81, passed peacefully at his home on June 29, 2022, after an extended battle with Parkinson's disease. Preceded in death by his mother, Luella, father, William, and brother, Gary. Larry was born August 10, 1940, in Rising City, NE and later relocated to Columbus where he raised a family and ran his business, Grubaugh Excavating; Larry would eventually call Colorado Springs home. He owned and operated Grubaugh Construction here for many years. In 2005 he retired and began working alongside his son at Bradley Excavating. Larry is survived by his children; Lindy Fury, Bradley Grubaugh (Julie), Joseph Brown (Cheryl). Grandchildren; Kali, Zachary, Cooper and Olivia and great grandchildren; Lane, Ember, Arlo and soon to be a fourth. Larry will be fondly remembered as a loving father and grandfather, a distinguished businessman, avid golfer and active member of the community involved with the El Paso Club, Soil Savers and the Colorado Springs Country Club. A Celebration of Life will be held August 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Penrose Event Center, 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road.
