Arlo was the son of Laura L (Schulthess)and Earnest A Lignitz. In 1948, he married Ruth E Anderson in Manhattan, KS. Together they had 9 children; Nancy, Margaret, Susan, John, Laura, Robert, Ingrid, Frank, and Amy.
