Bio
Sister Ann S. Divis, 91, of Waverly, died on July 22, 2022. Her birth name was Theresa S. Divis and took on the name of Sister Ann S. Divis when she became a nun. She was a member of the Marian Sisters of the Diocese of Lincoln and marked the 60th jubilee of her religious profession in 2022. Sister Ann served the diocese as a teacher at Aquinas in David City and Pius X in Lincoln. She served the Marian Sisters community as superior, treasurer, and most recently, as motherhouse gardener. Preceded in death by her parents, Karel & Anna (Mach) Divis; brothers, Theodore, Francis, Anthony, Charles, & Erin Divis; sisters, Jennie Simodynes, Josephine Divis, Sr. Camilla Divis, N.D., Julia Connelly, & Anastasia Sousek; brothers-in-law, Gene Connelly & Joe Sousek; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Divis, Shirley Divis, Rose Divis, & Ann Divis Sister Ann will be laid to rest in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Waverly.
