Bio

Doris D. Kirby, 84, a beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, surrounded by her family. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Doris was born July 25, 1924, in Fort Worth. She was a founding member of Beach Street Baptist Church, where she was the secretary of Sunday school. After retiring from Radio Shack, she remained actively involved in church and with family. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Kirby, and daughter, Barbara D. Baugess. Survivors: Sons, Ross W. Baugess Jr. and wife, Paula, and Timothy W. Kirby and wife, Charolette; daughters, Brenda Fowler and husband, Charles Sr., and Darla Brown and husband, Jim; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Arnett; sister, Jene McMeans; and a host of friends.
